Marc G. Brecher has been practicing law since 1977. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and has also been specially admitted to practice in the states of Delaware and New Jersey on multiple occasions. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Robert S. Miller concentrates his practice in matters of personal injury including motor vehicle accident litigation, slips/trips and falls, premises liability, construction site accidents as well as medical malpractice. Mr. Miller is known for his attention to detail and thorough preparation of his cases for litigation. As a result, Mr. Miller has enjoyed great success representing and protecting his injured clients and their interests. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Philadelphia Bar Associations, as well as the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations.
Hezekiah Sistrunk has been a trial lawyer for thirty (30) years. Derek Sells is the Managing Partner for The Cochran Firm’s New York office. He is an exceptional trial attorney, having achieved many successful results, including a damages trial verdict against The City of New York for $33.52 Million Dollar, a result featured in the Nation Law Journal’s Top 100 Verdicts of 2002. A graduate of Dartmouth College and a Yale Law School graduate, he began his legal career at the prestigious Washington, D.C. firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.
Tracey L. Brown is an experienced litigator with both civil and criminal experience. Her practice areas include personal injury, municipal liability, and employment discrimination. Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, Ms. Brown was Senior Counsel at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, DC, where she litigated consumer fraud cases, including a $70 million judgment in a case on behalf of consumers who had been victims of Internet credit card fraud.
Paul Weitz is an outstanding trial lawyer who has obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts including $12 million for the mother of a brain damaged baby who lived only 12 days. In another medical malpractice case against NYCHHC that Paul tried, the jury awarded $5.2 million to the family of a brain damaged child. An honors graduate of Harvard Law School, he was a partner with the personal injury law firm Schneider, Kleinick, Weitz, Damashek & Shoot.
David E. Sternberg has been a proud active Philadelphia trial attorney, the only career he has ever wanted, since 1983. Anyan, Jr. Prior to joining the firm, Samuel Anyan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lisette Shirdan-Harris, First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, and enjoyed a successful career as an attorney at a major insurance company, as well as at a prominent products liability boutique firm. Mr. Anyan is known for his superior preparation and courtroom skills, obtaining stellar results for his clients.
Jarad L. Silverstein is an accomplished trial attorney who focuses his practice solely in the area of medical malpractice lawsuits. His experience runs the gamut of medical specialties, including but not limited to obstetrics, critical care, trauma, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, anesthesia, urology, hematology and oncology, and wound care. He has been practicing law for over a decade in PA and NJ.
Julianna Merback Burdo a Partner at Wapner Newman, is a graduate of Temple University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate and Business Administration in 1989. Julianna earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1999. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has also been admitted pro hac vice to practice law in New York and Illinois.
Steven T. Brecher is a 2011 graduate of Temple University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2016 from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During Law School, Mr. Brecher interned with United States Magistrate Judge Marilyn Heffley and at the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office.
Simon T. Haileab primarily focuses his practice on the representation of victims involved in motor vehicle accidents, slips/trips and falls, premises liability and construction site accidents. Mr. Haileab is a well-respected member of his profession who is known for being tenacious while advocating for his clients in all personal injury matters.
Leah M. Edelstein is an Associate at Wapner Newman and has been a member of the firm since 2021. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 2018 and her law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2021. While at Villanova, Ms. Edelstein was a member of the Student Bar Association and ultimately served as President for the 2020-2021 term. Additionally, Ms. Edelstein was a competitor for the Villanova Law Moot Court Board, competing in several national competitions on behalf of Villanova Law, and worked as the Board’s Director of Recruitment & Alumni Relations for the 2020-2021 year. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is currently working towards her New Jersey license.
